Bharti Airtel gains on renewing agreement with Ericsson to manage pan-India network operations

Bharti Airtel is currently trading at Rs. 570.30, up by 2.55 points or 0.45% from its previous closing of Rs. 567.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 568.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 569.50 and Rs. 563.00 respectively. So far 81212 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 611.70 on 20-May-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 321.60 on 01-Aug-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 583.80 and Rs. 553.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 307557.05 crore.


The promoters holding in the company stood at 58.98%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 36.12% and 4.91% respectively.

Bharti Airtel has renewed its agreement with Swedish telecom gear maker Ericsson to manage pan-India network operations. Under the agreement, Ericsson will also manage Airtel's network operations center and field maintenance activities across India.

The three-year deal will see Airtel launching Ericsson Operation Engine during 2020. Ericsson will deploy the latest automation, machine learning, and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to enhance Airtel's mobile network performance and customer experience. Ericsson has been providing telecom network equipment and services for 2G, 3G, 4G, and recently both the companies started running 5G trials.
