Urja Global shines on getting nod to raise Rs 3,500 crore through green bonds

Urja Global is currently trading at Rs. 2.04, up by 0.08 points or 4.08% from its previous closing of Rs. 1.96 on the BSE.


The scrip opened at Rs. 2.03 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2.05 and Rs. 1.92 respectively. So far 292497 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 4.99 on 30-Nov-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1.60 on 08-Oct-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2.05 and Rs. 1.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 103.47 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 31.91%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 0.78% and 67.30% respectively.

Urja Global has received shareholders' nod to issue $500 million (Rs 3,500 crore) green bonds to finance energy projects and electric vehicles. The company has also received approval for listing the bonds overseas at the London Stock Exchange or Singapore Stock Exchange or Nasdaq or any other foreign exchange.

Urja Global is a non-renewable and renewable energy developer and operator. It is engaged in design, consultancy, integration, supply, installation, commissioning and maintenance of off-grid and grid-connected solar power plants.
